Teacher’s Day Celebration

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” We celebrate Teachers’ day every year throughout the country on 5th September. Students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – second President of India. The great academic philosopher, and one of the most well known diplomats, scholar, president of India and above all a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as teachers’ day.

A celebration conducted at B.R.International school by our students on 5th Sept 2019. The whole function was planned by the students of grade XI and X. We decided that, the responsibility of teaching is taken up by the students as an appreciation for their teachers. As per the Indian culture, we always start our work with prayer. Total number of participates in teacher’s day were 40. Students has prepared timetable of first two periods. Students went to class to deliver lectures on the ongoing semester subjects. On this day, our teaching was started as usual on 08:00 a.m. All the students in role of teachers who had no lectures they had seated in staff room. All other non participated students were also studying seriously without making any noise or mischief. All participated students were appreciated by giving snacks as our token of love.

Students performed a scintillating cultural show to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The cultural show incorporated poems, songs, dance and drama. They also entertained teachers by arranging fun games for them. They indicated that, teachers play a vital role in making their pupil accountable citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human beings. They are the cornerstone of students’ future and there’s nothing worth enough to gratify them for their selfless service and commitment. All teachers enjoyed and appreciated the program. Program concluded with Principal’s address. Principal extended his heartiest thanks to all students on behalf of staff. He also appreciated the new prefects for their successful coordination.
